Beijing, China – August 4, 2025 – Swiss premium water brand BE WTR officially opens its second Chinese bottling plant, strategically located at the junction of Beijing,Tianjin and Hebei, serving the Jingjinji region with locally bottled still and sparkling water.

To mark the occasion, a grand opening ceremony was held at the Swiss Embassy in Beijing, attended by luxury hotel and fine-dining leaders. Despite heavy rain, guests enjoyed BE WTR still and sparkling water from the new Tianjin bottling plant, as well as a curated tea experience by BASAO (Chinese tea brand), featuring cold-brew teas prepared with the BE WTR AQTiV+ carafe to enhance taste perception. Swiss-inspired delicacies, fine wines, and interactive installations, including a “message in a bottle” station, completed the celebration.

Swiss Ambassador Mr. Burri highlighted the historic commercial ties between China and Switzerland and praised the growing recognition of sustainable, high-end solutions in China. Mr. Lin Songhua, Chairman of Intretech and BE WTR China, and Mike Hecker, BE WTR Founder, shared their vision for premium, sustainable hydration in China.

The Tianjin bottling plant uses BE WTR’s BiG 400 system to produce hundreds of bottles per hour in reusable glass, eliminating single-use plastics and drastically reducing CO₂ emissions. Each bottle can be reused up to 300 times, delivering a circular, zero-waste solution for hospitality partners.

Following the first Chinese plant in Xiamen, the Tianjin facility represents BE WTR’s rapid expansion across China, bringing fresh, pure, and sustainable water to hotels, restaurants, and bars in Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei.
