BE WTR Launches Luxury, Sustainable Hydration in Reusable Glass Bottles Bottled in Singapore

By BE WTR

Singapore, 13 May 2025 – BE WTR, the premium, sustainable water brand trusted by the world’s top chefs and hotels, proudly launches a state-of-the-art bottling operation in Singapore—introducing a new standard in taste, design, and environmental responsibility. This marks the debut of Singapore’s first locally bottled, premium still and sparkling water, crafted for fine dining, luxury hospitality, and conscious consumers.

Water That Elevates Taste—and Lowers Impact

Locally sourced from Singapore’s tap water, enhanced through Swiss-engineered filtration and technology, BE WTR offers an exceptionally smooth taste—ideal for food pairing and refined service. Each bottle is a design statement: minimalist, elegant, and reusable more than to 300 times. It’s water designed to be savoured, not just served.

Crafted for Singapore’s Most Refined Tables

From in-room service to white linen dining, BE WTR’s extra-flint glass bottles integrate seamlessly into luxury environments. Still and sparkling water, available in 500ml and 750ml formats, offer a premium aesthetic while replacing single-use imports. Empty BE WTR Bottles are collected, sanitized, and rebottled at BE WTR’s proprietary local SFA-certified facility—ensuring quality, safety, and sustainability.

Technology That Scales Taste and Sustainability

At the heart of this innovation is the BiG400: BE WTR’s first fully automated, circular glass bottling facility in Southeast Asia. Located in Tai Seng, the robotic, closed-loop facility combines BE WTR Swiss filtration technology, washing, sanitising, filling, and capping into one seamless, hygienic bottling process. It enables great tasting still and sparkling water with an annual production of 2.5 million bottles—equivalent to removing 2.5  million single-use plastics or imported glass from circulation each year. With reusable bottles that last up to 300 cycles—nearly eight times the industry average—the BiG400 bottling line  delivers sustainability at scale. Bottles are distributed and retrieved within a hyper-localized 10-kilometre radius (if not directly onsite) via electric vehicles, completing a smart, low-impact delivery loop.

A Local Solution with Global Impact

In a city where over 87% of glass waste goes unrecycled and most bottled water is imported, BE WTR brings vital disruption. By producing locally and eliminating single-use plastics and glass, BE WTR reduces carbon emissions by over 60% and packaging waste by up to 95% compared to conventional bottled water. Each bottle embodies the 3Rs—reduce, reuse, recycle—and a commitment to Singapore’s zero-waste ambitions.

Hospitality Meets Tate & Circularity

BE WTR bottled water is procuring a smooth and silky taste with balanced minerals. The filtration process retains the good minerals present in Singapore’s water and eliminates any potential pollutants, including hormones, forever chemicals and any last mile pollutants.  BE WTR collaborates with Singapore’s leading hotels, restaurants, and upscale venues to implement a closed-loop bottling model, without compromising aesthetics, hygiene or freshness. This not only enhances the guest experience but also reduces costs and operational complexity; a win for partners, patrons, and the planet.

Proudly Certified, Passionately Local

As a certified B Corp and member of 1% for the Planet, BE WTR backs every drop with rigorous sustainability and social responsibility standards. In Singapore, the company partners with Seven Clean Seas to tackle marine pollution through direct action and local job creation. BE WTR is also a member of Singapore Water Association (SWA), benefiting from the strong support of the association in terms of quality of tap water, research and water stewardship.

A Collaborative Effort

This launch is made possible through partnerships with industry leaders, local businesses, and sustainability advocates. Notably, premium local hospitality brands, global chains and local fine dining and bars have joined forces to implement closed-loop distribution systems, demonstrating the viability of reusable glass packaging at scale. For its hotels and restaurant partners, BE WTR delivers a premium, local, elegant, great tasting water experience while lowering the cost as well as the carbon footprint. A win for all involved—and for Singapore.

Together, let’s reshape Singapore’s future-one reusable bottle at a time.
