Proud Moments From Around the World - BE WTR’s 2025 Year in Review
As 2025 comes to a close, we look back on a year shaped by expansion, partnerships and remarkable milestones across our markets. From opening new facilities to supporting world-class gastronomy and driving sustainability forward, each project reflects our mission to elevate hydration, reduce single-use waste and support local communities.
Here are some of the moments that defined our year:
BE WTR International: Innovation, Stories and Impact
Beyond market expansion, 2025 was a defining year for BE WTR as a global project. We won a Global Water Drinks Award for Best CSR Initiative and launched two major products, BiG400 and AQTiV Duo. Our storytelling grew through new content series, including Behind Hotel Doors and From the Chef with 2025 Bocuse d’Or winner Paul Marcon.
We also released our 2024 Sustainability Report. In just 12 months (in 2024), our projects helped remove the need for 34 million plastic bottles across 8 countries, avoiding more than 12,200 tonnes of CO₂, the equivalent of around 12,200 flights from Paris to New York. More milestones are coming in 2025.
We were also proud to be present in the world of gastronomy once again through our collaborations with The World’s 50 Best Hotels and Michelin Keys.

Switzerland: A Year of Events, Partnerships and Firsts
Switzerland continued to be one of our most dynamic markets, with a record number of collaborations across gastronomy, hospitality and culture. We were present at key industry gatherings including Swiss Impact Forum, IGEHO, CooknPro, Hospitality Summit, FoodEx Bern and Goldener Koch. Our long-standing engagement with Gault&Millau continued at their Garden Party, and we continued partnerships like Polymanga and Jeunes Restaurateurs Switzerland.
One of our proudest achievements was opening our first BiG400 facility at Bernexpo in Bern, marking a major step in local circular hydration. We also closed the year with a new milestone: our first Swiss pop up boutique in Zurich. Located on Füsslistrasse 6 and shared with Mover Plastic Free Sportswear and QWSTION, the space invites visitors to discover design, sustainability and refined hydration in one place.

France: Strong Partnerships and Milestones in Gastronomy
In France, 2025 was marked by renewed commitments and strategic growth. We extended our partnership with Bocuse d’Or and SIRHA Food for two more years and attended the culmination of the 2023–2025 cycle at SIRHA Lyon. Our teams also supported Gault&Millau Tour once again, reinforcing our connection to leading chefs and culinary talent.
A major highlight was the joint venture with Cafés Richard, a decisive step for BE WTR France and a key accelerator for the coming years. New partnerships added momentum, Accor Hotels, Richard Vins & Spiritueux, Hotels & Préférence and Fondation pour la Cuisine Durable by Olivier Ginon. BE WTR also supported the Young Chefs Talent of Tomorrow competition in Nice, helping nurture the next generation of culinary professionals.

United Arab Emirates: Accelerating Growth and Celebrating Milestones
Across the UAE, 2025 was a year of strong momentum. We supported key projects such as the Gault&Millau UAE Gala, the Leaders in Hospitality Awards and the Arabian Travel Market. After our facility at the Westin Dubai, we expanded our local footprint with a new BiG system at Rosewood Abu Dhabi.
We continued advancing sustainability through our 1% FTP initiative with a Beach Clean Up Day in collaboration with MAAN. BE WTR also partnered with Raffles Dubai, supported The Pro Chef Middle East competitions and proudly attained the ESMA certification in the UAE. This year we also celebrated a significant milestone, serving 5 million BE WTR bottles across the country.

Singapore: Impact, Community and Circular Hydration
Singapore continued to grow as a regional hub where sustainability meets world-class events. We supported Swiss Wine Week and collaborated closely with the Swiss Chamber and Embassy of Switzerland. BE WTR was present at F1 after parties and served as the Official Water as part of Pernod Ricard’s Drink More Water campaign and Sustainability Partner of the Sake Matsuri Festival, as well as Water Partner for Kita Food Festival.
Across the hospitality and media world, we strengthened our presence through our partnerships with Food&Hospitality Asia, Travmedia and the Restaurant Association of Singapore’s Epicurean Star Awards.
This year also marked the opening of our BiG400 facility and the expansion of our 1 % For The Planet contribution with Seven Clean Seas. Together, we helped recover 1,500 kg of plastic waste, supporting three cleanup operations and funding 15 local crew members dedicated to restoring marine ecosystems.

China: New Cities, New Clients and First Trade Fair
After opening the country last year, China expanded at high speed in 2025. We opened in Beijing and now in Shanghai as of December, and we participated for the first time in Hotelex Shanghai. The hospitality sector continued to trust BE WTR, with Fairmont Xiamen joining as a client and Lohkah Hotel & Spa becoming our first partner in Xiamen. BE WTR was also part of Swiss Gastro Week as Water Partner, strengthening our visibility and credibility in the market.

Canada: A Powerful Start and Strong Local Presence
2025 marked the official start of our BE WTR journey in Canada. We opened our BiG facility in June, began building strong awareness in Montreal and partnered with the Greater Montreal Hotel Association. We also supported Tourisme Montréal by providing hydration at events across the city, reinforcing our commitment to local community engagement.

United Kingdom: Entering the Market With Momentum
The UK became one of our newest markets this year, launching with a strong presence at The Staff Canteen Network Lunches as their official water partner. BE WTR also made its first event appearance at the HRC and IFE fairs in London, opening the market with high industry visibility. Later in the year, we joined the Last Straw Collective in London, supporting responsible hospitality initiatives in the city.

Looking Ahead
As we close the year, we reflect with pride on the teams, clients and partners who made these achievements possible. Every project and every refill brings us closer to a more sustainable future for hydration. Thank you for being part of our journey.
We look forward to an exciting 2026, filled with new openings, deeper partnerships and continued impact across the world.
Be proud. Be happy. Be responsible. BE WTR.
