Collaboration between BE WTR China and the Portman Ritz-Carlton, Shanghai

The Portman Ritz-Carlton, Shanghai, launches "Castaway," a multi-level campaign in partnership with the premium sustainable water brand, BE WTR. This collaboration integrates wellbeing, taste, and design into a distinctive multi-sensory experience.

The campaign is designed to encourage reflection on mental health and the value of introspection, aligning with both brands’ core values: the purity and nurturing quality of water, and the restorative purpose of hospitality that defines the hotel’s service culture.

A concept video will anchor the campaign, portraying a personal conflict that leads the protagonist toward shelter and inner clarity. Staged across symbolic and real-world settings, the video traces an emotional arc from turmoil to peace.

 

Guest Experience & Cocktails

The campaign is supported by a curated menu at The Lobby Lounge, featuring BE WTR drinking water as the foundation for both a signature cocktail and a mocktail. Each drink reflects the visual tone of the "Castaway" narrative.

· Dilution: A gin-based cocktail refined with BE WTR still water.

· Use Your Illusion II: A refreshing, alcohol-free drink made with BE WTR sparkling water. Drawing inspiration from the Guns N’ Roses album of the same name, the drink's color and theme echo the album’s hit song 'Yesterday', which explores themes of self-reflection, inner searching, and moving forward

Both drinks will be available at The Ritz Bar and Lounge, accompanied by campaign storytelling materials.

Guests staying in Club-level rooms will receive BE WTR as part of their in-room experience.

At The Ritz Bar and Lounge, guests can learn about BE WTR’s innovative AQTiV+ carafe which will be showcased on a podium. This enhances the purity of your palate and unlocks the full depth of your tasting experience. Guests will be able to learn about and taste the effect of the carafe guided by The Ladies and Gentlemen of the Ritz Bar & Lounge
