Water is the turbo-charged power that keeps you up and running, so doing it right is important. Here are a few things we all should know before drinking water.

Hot water and plastic are not well matched

By leaving your bottle in the sun, the heat releases toxic substances from the plastic-like bisphenol A and phthalates. So free yourself from plastic bottles, it will be even easier. Switch to refillable or reusable bottles in glass or inox.

Leave your water in the open

Do you know that after only 30 minutes in the open, the water becomes impure? Insects and dust can enter it, while bacteria and microbes multiply inside. To avoid wasting it, you can use it for your plants!

Drink from a plastic bottle opened for more than 48 hours

After first opening, microorganisms can grow rapidly inside. So same advice as above: you can reuse the water for your plants!

Drink for a bottle without cleaning it regularly

Water bottles are one of the favourite places for bacterias, so it's important to wash it frequently, rince it at least each day and clean it two to three times per week.

Let water stagnated in your kettle

When water is stagnating, limestone and bacterias are proliferating. So before switch on your kettle, remove the remaining water from it and rince it. To help remove limestone and bacterias, you can descale it with white vinegar by letting it sit overnight and rinse it well afterwards.

Drink water, straight out of the tap

Before drinking from your tap water, wait a little bit. Some bacterias and germs can proliferate in the stagnate waters in the pipes. Another solution is to switch to our innovative and technological water dispensers that filters out bacterias and particles while keeping the good minerals.

Use hot water directly from the tap

Hot and boiled water are two different things. Using hot water for your tea, does not remove the bacterias from your tap water. As we explain it to our clients, the last few metres of piping mean there’s no guarantee your water will be in tip-top shape by the time it lands in your glass, as old or ageing pipes lead to metals soaking through. So meaning that in addition to bacterias and particules, your tap water probably contains lead, as heat can dissolve toxic metals.
